Look closely

These macro shots of sumac leaves were taken along the riverbanks of the South Pond of the Coves area — a branching off from the main flow of the Thames. The Coves area was, “once a meander of the Thames River and is now a series of oxbow ponds.” The area has been designated an Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) by the City of London. We are rich, we Londoners, to have such a wealth of beautiful, natural areas within our city — easily reached by bus, bike, car or walking.
